Michelle Leslie is an incredible instructor. She is a stickler for base-level knowledge. She also recognizes that many adults will never become professional ballet dancers and introduces some concepts of advanced technique if the adult student is willing and able to learn. I highly recommend Dimensions In Dance to adults who wish to learn ballet in the metropolitan Manchester New Hampshire area."

This is a second studio recommended by the same guy who brought us The Dance Place in Massachusetts. Portsmouth is about 20 minutes north of Newburyport, and about an hour from Boston. This is the school of the Ballet New England dance company, and they offer a full adult program in ballet (Russian technique), as well as classes in flamenco, modern, and jazz. Our correspondent says, "The ballet classes are definitely not for the squeamish or tentative (though they have a good intro class once a week)."

Christine Simes is teaching both adult beginner/intermediate and intermediate/advanced classes. Our correspondent says, 'She has a wonderful manner about her, and she has a way of bringing out the best in everyone in class, even with greatly mixed ability levels.'
Angela Sears is 'a company dancer and leader, and is also a wonderful teacher.'

Both teachers are very helpful with corrections, explanations, and demonstrations, and these are serious classes for serious ballet students.
