Beginning this year (2004), I'm dating new listings with the month/year in which they were added. For earlier listings, you're on your own, since I have no idea when I first added them.

Please note: The teachers here are recommended by your fellow adult dance students, and are reported to be especially attentive and inspiring to older dancers.

Some of the listings are quite old; I've been collecting them since 1997. Before you send me an angry e-mail complaining that something's not up-to-date or that a listed studio is now closed, remember that I provide this list as a free service; therefore, I do not perform comprehensive updates to this list. Listings are updated only when a site visitor advises me of a change.

A few studios on this list smack of Dolly Dinkle, but I think they fill a need for some students. I try to weed out recommendations that I suspect come from, let us say, very close friends of the teachers involved. But I also feel that even a not-so-good dance class may be better than no dance class at all. If you know of a studio that you feel is grossly misrepresented here, please let me know.
